Steel Fitter
Description: Layout and fabricate plate & structural steel parts from shop drawings.
Position Responsibilities: Create parts list as needed and cut parts as needed or identify parts that have been CNC processed and fit parts per drawings and weld parts when required.
Position Qualifications:
· Must be able to lift / pull sheets of steel 50+ lbs.· Must be able to stand / work on feet for 8-hour shift.· Must be able to pass drug test.· Must be able to read a tape measure.· Must be able to certify to AWS weld standards for carbon and stainless steel.· Must be able to work off of drawings dimensioned in inches and metrics.· Must be able to read blueprints and shop drawings.· Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision and produce quality products.· Should be familiar and comfortable using shears, saws, press brakes, plate rolls.
Position Type: Full Time
Starting Wage: $21.00 per hour (Negotiable based on experience)
Work Hours: Monday thru Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Work Location: 367 West 900 North, Salt Lake City, UT 84103
