Sheet Metal Specialist: Press Brake Operator
Position Description: Working under minimal supervision, you will be our custom sheet metal specialist fabricating parts for hollow metal window and door frames. You will also be trained to fabricate other miscellaneous parts for various sections of the company.
Position Responsibilities: Calculate shear size of material accounting for bend deductions, shear material, form material per drawings using a press brake (hydraulic & mechanical), and calculate the cost of the order using company pricing template.
Position Qualifications:
· Must be able to lift / pull sheets of steel 50+ lbs.· Must be able to stand / work on feet for 8-hour shift.· Must be able to pass drug test.· Must be able to read a tape measure.· Must be able to read blueprints and shop drawings.· Must be able to calculate bend deductions.· Must be able to operate a shear.· Must be able to operate a press brake. (Training will be provided for our specific press brakes, but you must know the basics of operating a press brake.)· Must have your own square set.· Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision and produce quality products.
Ideal Candidates will also offer these additional skills:· Able to use Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.· Able to weld with hardwire. · Able to tig weld stainless steel.· Able to use plate rolls.
Position Type: Full Time
Wage: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Work Hours: Monday thru Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
